Carly Brin
Carly is a current Master’s of Social Work student at Wayne State University and is an intern with the Transition to Independence Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in International Relations from James Madison College. Carly's experience consists of community organizing, social justice advocacy, and leadership development. Her work in Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Michigan included working on political campaigns, developing training programs for political advocacy, grassroots fundraising, and program promotion. In Michigan, she worked with Organizing for Action, organizing community members around women's rights and gun violence prevention. Carly currently works at the Center for Urban Studies at WSU on their Green & Healthy Homes Initiative-Detroit, Wayne County, which is comprised of nearly 40 partner organizations dedicated to creating green, healthy and safe homes for children and families in Detroit and Wayne County.
