Advisory Board Committees
Executive/Fundraising Committee members lead efforts to:
•Develop a strategy for raising the visibility of the Institute among high profile nonprofits and funders in Detroit and across the state
•Identify new donor prospects
•Identify potential advisory board members
•Monitor the fiscal health of the TIP program
•Provide stewardship of the Institute in between regular advisory board meetings
•Review and help to shape the development plan for the TIP program
•Identify potential funding sources for follow up by program staff
•Introduce, when possible, program staff to potential funders
Curriculum Issues/Strategic Planning Committee members lead efforts to:
•Provide input and feedback on the Course and Training curriculum
•Convey and encourage student feedback to program staff
•Relate feedback from foster child champions, other university professionals, funders and other community sources
•Assist in the creation of evaluation tools and reviewing evaluation documents pertaining to the TIP program
•Help to develop and monitor a strategic plan for the TIP program
Branding/Marketing Committee members lead efforts to:
•Help to develop strategies for branding the program
•Identify potential target markets, marketing venues and strategies for promoting the TIP program
•Advertise the program through word of mouth
•Identify other highly-qualified candidates for the Advisory Board
Research committee members lead efforts to:
•Provide input on the economic and operating models for the TIP Program
•Review the work of studies in progress
•Suggest topics for investigations that have relevance to local, state and national policy and practice development
